Description:
he scope of work includes providing labor, materials, subcontractors and equipment as necessary to respond to geotechnical engineering work requests as needed.

The selected geotechnical engineering firm will support the North Portwalk and Seawall Reconstruction (NPSR) Phase II project by providing geotechnical inspection services during construction, which is anticipated to begin in 2026. In addition, the firm will provide ongoing support for the subsequent NPSR Phase III project.

Services may include permit support requiring critical area determination analyses, preparation of technical reports, and development of design recommendations to ensure compliance with the City of Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC), Chapter 23. Additional responsibilities may involve supporting the bidding process, providing construction-phase services in areas with seismic hazards, conducting liquefaction analyses, preparing formal responses to the City of Edmonds Planning Department, performing field inspections during construction, and completing other geotechnical tasks as assigned.

The Port may request additional services for future projects not listed in this scope, at the vendor’s published hourly rates. The agreement period will be two years from the contract award date, with the option for extension.
