Description:
The Merrill Lake Slide Mitigation project consists of producing aggregate materials (Quarry Spalls, Crushed Surfacing, and Drainage Aggregate) from a State-Owned quarry (N-3000 Pit) to construct a rock buttress (5000 cy of Quarry Spalls) at the end of the 7634 Forest Road in Cowlitz County. The work also includes improvement of an 1100-foot-long access road to the project site and installing culverts for the roadway. In addition, the work includes clearing and grubbing of the project site followed by excavation of approximately 2900 cy of soil and installation of a perimeter drainage system which includes a Drainage Blanket (350 cy) on the slopes to intercept seepage.
