Description:
This project consists of the replacement of 100 linear feet section of concrete cylinder transmission line pipe with steel pipe, replacement of one flowmeter vault, and upgrades to an existing flowmeter vault. Significant project elements include:
• Selective demolition of existing piping and structures.
• Installation of 36-inch welded steel pipe.
• Connection of new steel pipe to existing concrete cylinder pipe transmission line.
• Installation of below grade flowmeter vault.
• Upgrades to an existing below grade flowmeter vault including the installation of a hatch and flowmeter.
• Associated electrical and controls upgrades to existing site hardware.
• Testing and assistance during commissioning of new facilities.
• Surface restoration.
• Payment of all associated taxes and fees.
The work will be done adjacent to an operating water treatment plant. The water treatment plant must remain in continuous operation throughout construction.
