Description:
The work under this Contract is to replace existing isolation valves and installing new tees for pipe access on the District’s 24-inch, 30-inch and 36-inch ductile iron (DI) and Concrete Cylinder Pipe (CCP) potable water transmission mains at seven (7) separate site locations and includes:
• Installation of one (1) 24-inch butterfly valve, six (6) 30-inch District supplied butterfly valves, and one (1) 36-inch District supplied butterfly valve with appurtenances.
• Installation of five (5) 30-inch by 24-inch tees, one (1) 36-inch by 24-inch tee, and two (2) precast concrete access vaults with appurtenances for pipe access.
• Removal and replacement of approximately 50 linear feet of 12-inch diameter DI water main with 16-inch diameter water main, including replacement of two (2) 12-inch diameter gate valves, fittings, appurtenances, and installation two (2) new 12-inch insertion valves at one site location.
• Installation of approximately 30 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC storm drain and three (3) catch basins at one site location.
• Removal, hauling, and disposal of existing transmission main piping, water main piping, valves, appurtenances.
• Roadway and property restoration, site cleanup, and temporary traffic control.
The project is located at seven (7) different sites within the City of Everett, Snohomish County, and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) right-of-way and easements within private property along the Interurban Trail. Substantial completion of the proposed transmission main valve installations at all sites shall be completed no later than May 15, 2026.
Restoration associated with the project includes, but is not limited to, temporary and permanent trench patching, grind and overlay, reconstruction of localized curb, gutter, sidewalk, and landscaping for areas disturbed during construction. Restoration requirements must meet requirements of the jurisdiction having authority, including the City of Everett, Snohomish County, and WSDOT.
